Professional Development Seminar is a self study class to prepare you to get a job that you want and for which you are qualified.

Students begin this class as they start Rotation following International Cuisine. During the 12-week class, students are required to complete a number of assignments on how to prepare for and find a job, including developing a resume and cover letter, a professional portfolio, and learning to network with CSCA chefs and others in the industry.

Students need to check in with 3 staff members weekly: PDS instructor, Externship Advisor, and Career Services Advisor. Every Wednesday PDS assignments are due and an instructor check-in is required. You can turn your assignments in by the LRC Reference Desk.

Upon completion of the class, you will have acquired the professional tools and commitment that are required to network and land a job that puts you on the road to your future career.
